Biography

  1. Ali Azgar (Screen Name : Ali Asgar) is an Indian actor and stand up comedian, reality TV show artist who was born in Mumbai, a densely crowded capital economical city and Bollywood hub Of India.
  2. He received his Honours Bachelors degree in Hotel Management and Catering; Institute of Hotel Management, Dadar which is one of the popular and competitive college to get admission in Mumbai, which shows his affection towards cooking.
  3. His first on screen appearance was in 1987 on Doordarshan channel through “Ek do teen chaar” , “Chunauti” TV serials.
  4. While playing comic roles in Television and appearing in the films, he tied his knot with Siddika Asgar in 2005 and the couple has blessed 2 children Nuyan and Ada Asgar.
  5. He appeared in many Bollywod movies “Tees Maar Khan”, “Khalnayak” and “Jo jeeta wohi Sikandar” by sharing screen space with popular stars like Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and Sanjay Dutt.
  6. Though he is popular more for his comic roles; his very first TV screen appearance was in Family oriented Indian daily soap “Kahani ghar ghar ki” in which he played role of ideal brother in law who helps his bhabhi to sort out complicated family matters. For this role he also received best supporting actor award by Indian television academy.

  1. Ali Asgar initially was not actually happy and satisfied for playing “Daadi” on screen in Kapil Sharma’s show. Later show-cast and producers convinced him to carry on with the role for which he received audience love and support and this ‘Daadi” role ultimately turned into a milestone of his comedy career.
 
  1. Ali got job offers to work in the hotel industry from USA, a dream country of many career aspirants before his career in film industry but his parents didn’t agree to it as they wanted their son to be with them in India.
